Choice of а captain: The players can choose between two different captains in each clan (male or female) as this choice does not affect the clan characteristics. Once chosen, each player needs to give a name to his or her captain.
Experience and level: Each battle, without the direct plundering of towns, gives points experience to our captain, depending on our opponent. After the accumulation of a specific level of experience, the captain goes a level up. Each new level gives us points, with which we can develop his/her skills. Part of those skills are accessible only after the captain has reaches a particular level. The maximum level in the game is 50.
Types of skills: Our captain can develop three independent types of skills – tactics, combat and positioning. As their name suggests, the tactics directly define the efficiency of the chosen tactics in battle. The combat skills can increase or reduce the casualties and the strength of the opposing fleets. You should consider that the captains cannot simultaneously develop the skills “Healing” and “Wrath”, as well as “Frightfulness” and “Leadership”. This group of skills is accessible after captain level 21. The same limitation is valid for the positioning skills which can give advantage or protect us at specific weather conditions.
Changing points: At each third level, our captain receives a special changing point. It can be used to restore a point for any of the developed skills. The changing points can be accumulated and used when needed.
